Water Challenge & AI For Good

xFarm Technologies is a Tech Company focused on the digitizations of the agri-food sector, providing innovative tools that can support farmers and stakeholders in the management of their businesses. It offers apps for farm management, connected sensors, support in Digital Transformation projects, algorithms applied to agriculture and training activities for the whole sector. xFarm Technologies supports the work of 250,000 farms belonging to more than 50 supply chains on 3,0 million hectares in more than 100 countries worldwide.

General Tech For Good 

As fast-growing environmental restoration company, AirSeed has developed specialised tree-planting drones equipped with AI and machine learning capabilities and proprietary seed pod biotechnology to rapidly replant large areas of land to accelerate global-scale reforestation.

AirSeed drones can each plant up to 40,000 seed pods a day, access remote, hazardous and inaccessible areas and GPS tag every seed pod planted. AirSeed’s solution is approximately 25x faster and 80% more cost effective than manual planting methods.

Diversity and Inclusion

Accessercise is the world’s first complete fitness app specifically designed for the disabled community. It allows disabled users to exercise independently through 3 main features:

Unique exercise library – Users create their own workouts by using our impairment specific video exercise library. All videos are performed by a exercise demonstrator who has the user’s impairment

Social Hub – Where users get to share, like, comment on their other people health & fitness journeys to build a sense of community

Gym rating scale – User’s can rate the accessibility of gyms and sporting facilities in their local areas.
At the moment, the app has 6 disabilities but is expanding its offering rapidly.

Echopoint Medical is a fast-paced medical device start-up in London UK, a spin-out of the University College London. We develop, manufacture and commercialise cutting-edge cardiovascular devices with a bold vision to provide unprecedented sensing and imaging capabilities in minimally invasive procedures. Using breakthrough optical sensors and advanced algorithms, Echopoint Medical will significantly improve how patients with cardiovascular disease are treated, reducing cost and complications, and improving outcomes. The development team is composed of a small but diverse group of engineers, clinicians and management who strive to make a positive clinical impact.

Mental Health and Wellbeing Challenge

BIOStress has spent the last 2 years working with leading universities to develop a stress metric that uniquely and holistically combines multiple data sources – biometric and psychometric – into one novel platform, app and algorithm. There are multiple potential applications in wearable devices, healthcare, research, insurance and workplace wellbeing – where we have already commercialised our first product and are conducting paid-for trials. Our algorithm delivers the who, what, where, when and how of stress, identifying its root causes and empowering solutions that promote greater resilience, improved mental and physical health, enhanced happiness and wellbeing, higher productivity and better global economic outcomes.”
